The right side of the receiver features bolt catch and release buttons below the ejection port. The shooter uses the dust cover to apply pressure to the bolt catch to lock the bolt open, and a release button just rearward easily sends the bolt forward. This instinctive system doesn’t just accommodate left- or right-handed use, but enhances mechanical flow under pressure. Reloads and malfunction clearances are faster and more consistent—critical when seconds matter.
